6 suspects arrested over kidnap of Emefiele’s wife

Benin City - Six persons suspected to be part of the group that orchestrated the kidnap of the wife of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele, reports Punch.

Margaret Emefiele according to News 24 was kidnapped on Thursday along Benin-Agbor road but was later released on Saturday after a crackdown on the kidnappers by security agencies.
The arrested suspects were picked up at the hideout in Benin city, the Edo state capital.
They were apprehended by the operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Special Monitoring and Intelligence Team, led by CSP Abba Kyari.
This brings to seven the number of suspects arrested in connection with Margaret Emefiele’s abduction
