Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has given the order for the reduction of the number of aircrafts in his presidential fleet.
The decision might not be unconnected with the launch of the Change begins with me” campaign.
The campaign was launch on Thursday in Abuja.
Many Nigerians after the launch had called on Buhari to begin the campaign by reducing the cost of the governance.
Buhari in a response to the call said he has set -up a committee to cut the number of presidential jets.
Spokesperson to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, made this known on Thursday.
There are currently 10 aircrafts in the presidential fleet
Shehu
wrote on Twitter: “There is a govt committee already in place, working
to reduce the number of aircraft in the presidential fleet.”
“Some aircraft will be boarded, some others returned to the Air Force for operations. The Change is here.”
