Hillary Clinton Criticized For Keeping Her Illness A Secret

Hillary Clinton’s campaign has come under fire for keeping the Democratic presidential candidate’s illness a secret, according to her campaign advisers.
While attending a ceremony in New York commemorating the fifteenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on Sunday, Mrs. Clinton suddenly left the premises. A video emerged depicting the presidential hopeful having difficulty standing up and eventually being carried into her van by security officers.
The Clinton campaign attributed her weakness to heat exhaustion, but later revealed that Mrs. Clinton had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. She allegedly only told her family members and top aides about the diagnosis, thinking that it would distract voters from more important issues.

“I just didn’t think it was going to be that big a deal,” Mrs. Clinton said in an interview on CNN.
The candidate’s secrecy has drawn criticism from both her supporters and opponents. Between keeping her emails on a private sever and failing to disclose her illness, Mrs. Clinton gives the impression that she has something to hide, analysts have said.
According to a poll conducted by NBC News and SurveyMonkey, Mrs. Clinton’s lead over her rival narrowed by 4 points after the incident on Sunday. In a four-way poll that includes Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson, her lead over Mr. Trump is only 2 points.
The two main candidates will face off in a debate on September 26 in New York.
